Good questions. Clear answers.

Let's talk egress.

What is an egress window?

An egress window provides an emergency escape and rescue opening. A complete basement system includes an appropriately sized window and window well, with access features suited to the installation.

How long does installation take?

Most Egress Pros window installations are completed in one day. Timing depends on your foundation, site conditions, and the scope of the project. Your estimate will outline what to expect.

Do I need a permit in Connecticut?

Permit and inspection requirements depend on your municipality and project. Our team can discuss the local requirements during your consultation. Final approval rests with the local building department.

Does an egress window make a basement a legal bedroom?

An emergency escape opening is one part of the requirements. Ceiling height, ventilation, smoke alarms, and other local rules may also apply. Check the complete requirements with your local building department.

Can I get a cover for my existing window well?

We offer custom well covers. Contact our team with the well’s dimensions and photos to discuss fit, material, and emergency access.
